Medicare
In the United States, Medicare does not pay for long-term care.

Long-term care — also called custodial care — covers medical and non-medical help for people with a chronic illness or disability, including assistance with bathing, dressing and using the bathroom, home-delivered meals, adult day health care and transportation. It differs from skilled nursing facility care, which Medicare covers separately. Anyone needing long-term care must pay the full cost themselves, unless they qualify for Medicaid or hold private long-term care insurance.
